Give Your Skin A Drink Of Water

Does your skin look tired, dull and lined? That's because it's lacking the hydration it so needs! Most skins I treat, no matter what skin type, suffer from this skin condition and it's so easy to fix! Dehydration is the skins inability to retain water; hyaluronic acid, lactic acid and glycerine are all humectants that draw and lock in moisture to the skin. They are key ingredients that should feature in everyone's skin regime. These are my top picks for a hydration pick-me-up.

Priori LCA Cleanser; I have mentioned this cleanser before and that is because it is amazing. It does everything a cleanser should do and it does it well. The Lactic acid in the cleanser is imperative for increasing cell turnover, thus increasing the penetration of products to follow.

Medik8 Hydra8 B5 Serum; a lightweight serum packed with hyaluronic acid and vitamin B5. This serum is ideal for an oily skin used on its own or used under a moisturiser for a drier skin to increase hydration.

SkinCeuticals Hydrating B5 Masque; a great weekly treatment, this cooling gel mask full of hyaluronic acid and Vitamin B5 is ideal for any skin needing a boost of moisture and can be used up to 3 times per week.

Balance Me Skin Hydrating Face Mist with hyaluronic acid. A lovely hydrating spritzer that can be spritzed over the skin throughout the day to give it a hydrating boost. Great for dull skin needing a pick me up.

Now let me leave you with this image; a dried up, wrinkled prune or a juicy, plump grape...which one is more appealing? This is the difference in skin when it is hydrated and not. And of course what goes in shows on the skin, drink your water too!!

  1. I hadn't heard of Priori until I read your blog, I have combination skin, would you think their Advanced AHA Gentle Facial Cleanser, would be suitable for me?

I have also just turned 40, so want to make sure my skin stay's looking good :)

    Great blog!

    1. It is a great range and their cleanser suits most skins. It's not too easy to get hold of in the UK, I buy it off beautybay.com. If you suffer from diffused redness on the cheeks as you mentioned, SkinCeuticals Redness Neutralier would be good, I am having great results with my clients on that :)

  2. I have seen these products on dermacaredirect.co.uk, they also do SkinCeuticals too, so will check out the redness neutraliser - thank you!
