Dynamic Cleansing Duo

Following my previous post on cleansing, these are my favourite two cleansers that will remove makeup clean out pores, rebalance the acid mantle and aid cell turnover in the skin.

Emma Hardie Amazing Face Moringa Cleansing Balm, I am a massive fan of using a balm or an oil for a pre cleanse. Oil is the only thing that will dissolve oil, meaning that it is ideal for giving skin a proper clean and removing all makeup, dirt and oil. The Emma Hardie Cleansing Balm is a product I have been drooling over for a while and finally go around to purchasing. I bought it in a starter kit as the full size version was out of stock, and when I decide I’m going to buy something I want it then! Best used on dry skin, massage in as it melts into oil and rinse with a muslin cloth. You can emulsify this product but it is not necessary and is best used in its natural state.

For my second cleanse I love the Priori Advanced AHA Gentle Facial Cleanser, I have used this cleanser on and off for years but keep going back to it, I find it's the best hydrating AHA based cleanser. It is milk form which I prefer as I find gels and foams too drying on most skins. The cleanser contains Priori's unique blend of Lactic Acid, Vitamin C and Vitamin A. Again massage into dry skin, really work this in focusing on any areas of congestion or dry skin and rinse with warm water or muslin cloth. I also use this for my morning cleanse. It is suitable for even the most sensitive of skins but you may experience some mild tingling...don’t panic! That’s just the Lactic Acid doing its thing.

  1. I have heard very good things about the Emma Hardie balm too. It's definitely on the to buy list - which is constantly growing! :)

Is it still something that you would recommend for a pre-cleanse?

    1. Absolutely, it's a fabulous cleansing balm and lasts forever. I am at the moment trying out a few cheaper alternatives so I will keep you posted on how I get on with those :)
